Artist's Comments

The fifth of a series that I started on the 15th of October. Will do one a day till Halloween.
Each will be done on cardboard with pen and ink and some pastel.

For the Day of the Dead which is November 1st. Not spanish myself, but I think it is a beautiful holiday, full of great art.

Very nice. :+fav: As with you I am not spanish but I like the idea of the day of the dead, although I think it is a shame it was modified from its original form, but anyway, very nice work. ^^

Día de los muertos is a Mexican celebration, not Spanish. :giggle:

It actually is partly spanish...because of the conquistadors that influenced the Aztecs when the Day of the Dead was actually celebrated for a month. I am Mexican and it is celebrated November 1st and 2nd. If u need more info on it I would be glad to share. I like the art. I've been working on a series of day of the dead drawings myself. I will have to post them once I'm finished.
